Victoria Carpets has a rich heritage in flooring. Its Australian operations commenced on the current site in Dandenong in 1954. Only the fourth company to begin manufacturing carpets in Australia, Victoria Carpets now operate two sites in Victoria and employ more than 200 people. Operations at the Dandenong plant include carpet manufacturing, sampling, sales and administration. In Bendigo, a state of the art wool processing and spinning mill produces international quality yarns that are used in the Dandenong plant. The increasing use of new materials, including synthetic yarns, has seen Victoria Carpets evolve from being a predominantly wool house, to a contemporary manufacturer, supplying a wide variety of tufted carpets to meet today’s market demands.
